Terms of Use

What this is about
Lilo Page — your personal, public learning page — and the Lilo Platform for communities are a service by YOLU, Effingerstrasse 10, 3011 Bern, Switzerland (www.yolu.ch). By using the service you accept these terms. How we handle your data is covered by the privacy policy.
Your account
Sign-in works via your email address. Keep access to your mailbox secure. What happens through your account is your responsibility. If you are a minor, you need the consent of your legal guardians.
Your content stays yours
Everything you publish on your page (posts, notes, badges, images) remains yours. So that Lilo can work, you grant YOLU the non-exclusive right to store, technically process, display, and distribute your content (via your public page, feeds, and the community overview on the Lilo Platform). This right ends when you delete the content. Lilo Page is public: what you publish can be seen by anyone on the internet.
Badges are templates
Badges are public templates: other Lilo members can adopt your badge. Adopting copies the name, claim, steps, and the badge image to their page. By uploading a badge image you permit this reuse within Lilo. Only upload content you hold the necessary rights to.
Endorsements are personal statements
An endorsement is the personal, named statement of a real person. Only invite people who actually know your work, and never submit an endorsement in someone else's name. Violating this is the fastest way to lose your account.
Fair use
No unlawful content, no violation of third-party rights, no impersonation, no spam or abuse of the service. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate this. You can report problematic content: via the report feature or at info@lilo.page.
Availability and liability
We run Lilo with care but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we keep evolving the service. To the extent permitted by law, YOLU is liable only for damage caused by intent or gross negligence. Each user is responsible for their own content.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time. Your content and account data are then deleted (details in the privacy policy). We may terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations.
Law and changes
Swiss law applies; the place of jurisdiction is Bern. We update these terms when the service changes. Material changes will be announced. The version published here applies.
